The gardens surrounding the tasting room are in the cottage style befitting the house, with many old fashioned roses and perennials.

The stone house at 45th Parallel Vineyard is the focus for a dry Mediterannean garden where tough drought resistant plants sit quietly in the dramatic lake and mountain landcape.

NEW ZEALAND GARDENS TRUST

The gardens surrounding Aurum's tasting room at 140 State Highway 6 and the vineyard house at 45th Parallel Vineyard (827 SH6) have recently been registered with the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture's New Zealand Gardens Trust.
